Porima

The ship, now baptized Porima, was created in 2010 under the name of Solarplanet. Covered with solar technologies on its deck, it was intended to demonstrate that this renewable energy could make it sail through the oceans, in total autonomy. A goal successfully achieved!

Then alongside the "race for water" foundation, the boat turned to an awareness mission in order to measure the general condition of the planet's oceans, and this, integrating new equipment such as skysals, technology help with propulsion by the force of the wind.

Skysars was completed by another technology linked to hydrogen: a first installation still in prototype but already capable of providing, with sea water and solar radiation as fuel, up to 10% of the Energy necessary for the operation of the ship.

At the end of 2021, the boat left Osaka, passed through the universal exhibition in Dubai and then joined Kenitra in Morocco to install the latest technologies designed for him and readjust his structure, an essential step to prepare the blue odyssey. Then he will sail around the Mediterranean before embarking on the planet's oceans in 2023. In 2025, it was at the Osaka Universal Exhibition that he will show the end of his bow.

This odyssey, we want to make it accessible to the general public, in order to become a great vector of hope and knowledge!

The boat is starting today a new phase of his life, and although he is preparing to get a facelift again by equipping himself with advanced innovations, we wish above all that he is carrying the philosophy of The blue economy, synonymous with hope and wisdom. Indeed, cherishing life and turning to the future is also learning, understanding and being responsible.

This is the reason why he now sports the name of Porrima: a goddess carrying the vision of the future and protector of pregnant women in Roman mythology.
