Blue Innovations (Suisse) S.A. is a Swiss company chaired by Gunter Pauli. It focuses solely on the inventions and innovations that will serve the common good.
Its tool is Porrima. An experimental vessel its teams operate in the service of entrepreneurship, and on which it demonstrates technologies designed and continuously improved by a network of scientists who have been collaborating since 1994 within a zero-emissions philosophy.
Message from the president
We are convinced that a new generation of entrepreneurs can and will play a key role in the evolution of society. Science and technology inspired by nature will inspire this new class of engineers.
Today the Porrima teams focus solely on the inventions and innovations that will serve the common good. As an experimental vessel, Porrima is a highly effective tool that we will be able to use for decades in the service of entrepreneurship.

The Blue Odyssey
The ambition of Porrima's Blue Odyssey is to accelerate entrepreneurship for the common good. From the energy transition through artificial intelligence and robotics to a portfolio of pragmatic solutions that touch a wide variety of industries, from fishing to plastics.
It also means giving entrepreneurs the means to correct the mistakes of the past, starting with cleaning microplastics from the oceans. Porrima is described there as a one of a kind "living laboratory", able to cover 250,000 kilometres, six times around the world, using only renewable energy, hydrogen and biofuels.
The voyage began in October 2021 from Osaka, with the intention of leaving traces of its passage everywhere and reporting on what happened during the stopover and after departure.
The Swiss flag
Blue Innovations (Suisse) S.A. states its pride that Porrima's Blue Odyssey has the right to fly the Swiss flag, with the support of the Canton of Vaud and the Swiss Confederation.
The Third Paradise
Infinity connects the past to the future. The present is only a point, a tiny instant in life: we must therefore give ourselves more room to create, in the present, the future.
The initiatives taken by the company are summed up in one hundred symbols that represent the future and draw the outlines of the MS Porrima logo. This symbol of infinity is the Third Paradise imagined by the artist and philosopher Michelangelo Pistoletto.
A recent milestone: speech underwater
In October 2025 the Republic of Palau hosted the first underwater conversation broadcast live using light, through Li-Fi technology. Blue Innovations co-organised it alongside Blue Education, with Acer as technology partner. A first production run of one hundred underwater Li-Fi communication systems is announced for 2026.
